Happy One Month Birthday Baby Hero! We love having you out--even though you hate taking naps during the day. You have great facial expressions, and love to tell stories with your arms and face.
Any suggestions as to help convince him that naps are a good thing? We can get maybe one hour nap in during the day...he sleeps a lot during the night...but not during the day, and by early evening, late afternoon, his not a happy camper.
i'm pretty sure i could tell you the book. It is called "The Baby Whisperer" by Tracy Hogg. Most amazing book ever written for baby care. I only wish i would have read it earlier. i have the public libraries copy so if want me to return it i will, hha. Another funny comment, i saw your picture and well my baby has both of those objects in the picture. The little froggy blanket/towel (where did you get yours because a friend made mine) and the onse (love the zipper types). As for your problem that book will really help. Now if you can help get my baby to sleep at night i would love that. we are trying something new tonight so we will see if it works. To get mine to sleep during the day if he starts getting fussy i bring him to a dark room, nurse him, rock him, put him in his cradle, and pat him until he is calm (with the binky, Dex loves his binky). Also something that has helped living in a basement where upstairs noise can startle him is i turn on a fan in his room to give some "white noise" so that the people upstairs dont bug his rest to much. hope i helped! are you going to the faculty baby shower?
Nope, it's Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. But it is actually sort of similar to the Baby Whisperer. My biggest suggestion for this age is the 1-2 hours of wakefulness rule. They should not be awake for longer than that, or else it's harder to get them to sleep.

Julie and Sarah and Amy have a book they swear by. I don't remember what it is called. You could ask them.
