Family

We were out of town for Thanksgiving, so I thought I would finish up a few last posts for November.

1. I am grateful for Thanksgiving! I love this holiday--I love cooking and spending time chatting in the kitchen. I am really grateful we were able to drive 4 hours to see some family. It was the best!

2. I am grateful for cousins. We drove another 4 hours and spent an afternoon with my cousins. It's a little different hanging out with cousins once you're all grown up--especially the cousins who were in high school while you were in elementary school. It made them instantly cool. Every once in a while I still don't feel cool enough to hang out with them--and I am grateful that they don't feel that way--they treat me like I'm one of them and worth their time. I really love cousins. I am also grateful that we try to hang out together as cousins.

3. I am grateful to be home after a long weekend. It's great to get back into our own routine.

4. I am grateful that it's Christmas Time! I love this holiday! I've spent the last two nights getting Christmas Cards ready. I love sending holiday cheer!

5. I am grateful Peaceful Hero is learning how to get around. Today was really rough, he hit his head about 5 times that show, and more that didn't leave marks, pinched fingers, fat lips and scraped knees, etc. I am grateful that a hug, a kiss, and a cracker make everything better. He is a joy! I'm also grateful he knows how to go up and down stairs safely. No injuries happened there.

Church History Museum

The Church History Museum was right up our family's alley! We went on a day that everyone else was in school and had the children's section to our selves. Baby Hero loved it!

There were costumes, for kids of all ages:Walking around, looking like a prince. Which the Baby Hero is.
Finding the eyes of the baby.
Looking adorable.
Destroying temples that Aunt A and Grandma C made for him.
Aunts to hold and love the Baby Hero.
His coat for Indiana was way too warm for Utah. So we shared a coat, and were dubbed the Mommy Koala Bear and Baby Koala Bear.
We had so much fun!

Christmas--Spot 2

For our second part of our Christmas vacation, we went to Utah and visited our Brazilian family. It was tons of fun to talk and play with everyone. There were people to play the Wii with...Food to eat....
People to play the piano with...
People to read to the Baby Hero...
It was great! We loved seeing both sides of the family! The Baby Hero was spoiled and I heard quite a lot, "Go away Math Hero! Don't let the Baby Hero see you! We're having fun and if he sees you it will ruin our fun!" A little awkward for me, but also extremely flattering that the Baby Hero loves his Math Hero best!

Christmas! One of Many Parts

We had so much fun traveling all across the nation! We went to San Diego, Las Vegas and Utah! While we were all over, the Baby Hero met a lot of family he had never seen before. Including an Uncle that looks just like his Dad. He wasn't too confused, but he did start checking who was holding him every so often. Also he met a cousin. This cousin is genetically his half sister. We decided that the genetics they share are the recessive genes. (widow's peak and the square faces are the dominate genes.) What do you think?
Leaning in for a kiss. Baby Hero started biting the day after this picture was taken.
Santa comes to Honey and Papa's house every Christmas Eve. Loads of fun for everyone!
Our Heroic Family!
