Thank Goodness for Daddy's

As you can see from this picture, the Baby Hero needed a hair cut. So did the Bug Hero, so we decided to give them in one sitting. Yes, now we know not to do that. The Baby Hero did not wait patiently for Mommy to finish cutting Daddy's hair. He wanted me to hold him as I was cutting hair, so we just let him cry as I hurriedly cut Dad's hair. Well, we didn't give him time to calm down, Dad just held the Baby Hero close and I cut his hair. It turned out great for the first time cutting a screaming baby's hair. Not the best hair cut given but an awesome hair cut for the circumstances.
Once we were done, Dad and Baby climbed into the bath together and had a blast. Mom was outlawed. Baby Hero would not look at Mom for close to two hours without glaring at her and making upset noises. He clung to his Dad, because Dad didn't ignore him or cut his hair.

We made a prediction a while ago. If the Baby Hero were ever to start choking, once cleared he would immediately put food in his mouth again. Unfortunately today that was also proven true. I was looking the other way and the Bug Hero rushed to the Baby Hero and pulled him out of his high chair. I then realize that the Baby Hero is turning red and can't breathe. The Bug Hero pounds the piece of food out of his mouth and the Baby Hero starts to cry, and gasping for breath, he signs "please food" and tries to shove the food in his other hand into his mouth. We don't let him put it in until he's breathing normally.

We are grateful for Dad today! The Baby Hero loves his dad and today his Dad saved him twice--once from the mom inflicted haircut and once from death. Dad is awesome!

The haircut looks great, even if Baby Hero wasn't too cooperative. Great job...screaming babies are as hard as it gets for hair cutting!
