Happy Thanksgiving!

The Baby Hero and I went to visit our best friends, the Dang Heroes. We love visiting those Dang Heroes. We have lots of fun. However, this time, we played a game--similar to peek-a-boo.
The Baby Hero is not sure if he wants to play this game. It involves a Stitch Hat. And the Baby Hero's Head.
Here we go!Trying to get it off!Repositioning it, so it's easier to get off!And now it's off.

Much to the Baby Hero's pleasure, we played this game a lot. It doesn't look like he's having fun, but he really is!

And I caved. Not that it was a hardship to cave:
1. I am grateful for the Baby Hero. I love being a Mom and playing with him. We have so much fun together. Also, since he's turned 9 months, he's gotten a little people shy, and it's a big payday for me to have him cling to me as he watches whatever is going on. I love his curiosity, and his joy.

2. I am grateful for the Bug Hero. He takes great care of both of us, and is always willing to help. He does my dishes! I like doing dishes (mostly) but they are the last thing I get to and he always does them. I'm grateful for his willingness to serve and help out.

3. I am grateful for my three years as a middle school teacher. I learned so many things about parenting and discipline and love from the middle school students and I am grateful that many of the mistakes I made (not all the mistakes I will make) are not on my own eternal children. In the last two months I received a huge blessing of perspective. Finishing out the year with Baby Hero at Home was hard, but I am grateful I did it, because now I know that motherhood will be hard, but I am choosing it.

4. I am grateful for the Gospel. I am grateful for the truths it teaches and that it is always encouraging me to be a better person.

5. I am grateful for my Savior. I love Him and I know that I can never repay Him for His gift to me. He is my real Hero and I want to be just like Him.
